Nightlight

I’ve had a pile of 2200K COB LEDs doing nothing for some time so I decided to significantly underdrive one and make a nightlight. The nominal wattage of the chip is 20-30w but no one needs that many lumens of 2200K light so I ran it at 20mA. Reasons being that I had a low current regulator handy, and that at that low of drive current thermal management was almost not even needed. At that drive current the Vf across the LED measures about 30.5v on a regular day, if we believe in math that means the LED is seeing 0.61w. The L90 of this nightlight will be longer than I care to own the light.

The rest of the of the build is stainless steel an a piece of dichroic glass because it looks cool. The AC to DC conversion happens with an off the shelf PSU and then a DC to DC current regulator for the 20mA on the tiny gauge wire going to the fixture.
